In a shocking incident that came to light late on Wednesday night, Rangers personnel were found involved in the killing of a young man in cold blood in public. The authorities in their earlier version had claimed that the man was killed in an encounter in Clifton. The incident was captured by several people on their cell phone cameras. The gruesome footage later found its way to television channels. The incident occurred at the Benazir Bhutto Park in the early evening. Afsar Khan of Shireen Jinnah Colony had registered an FIR accusing the young man Sarfraz Shah of trying to rob him at gunpoint. However, the footage on television channels later revealed that the young man was captured unarmed by the Rangers and shot in cold blood point blank in public. He was seen pleading for his life while surrounded by a group of Rangers personnel who fired shots at him in full public view. After the incident, relatives and supporters took the body of the young man to the CM House and protested outside. They demanded that an FIR be immediately lodged against the Rangers personnel and those involved be arrested. After the footage was aired, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, who was in Karachi, assured angry reporters that action would be taken against those responsible and the Rangers officials involved would also be arrested. If the thief had cooperated with the rangers and gotten down on floor then none of this would have happened. Sadly the thief got what he asked for. Not only did he fail to comply but why was he touching a loaded weapon? He got shot on general principles. Touching a weapon of officer while he’s pointing at someone can cause real trouble anywhere in the world.

He tried to grab the gun and that ranger shot him twice............ but first aid should be given to him ... someone should take him to the hospital ... this is not right to watch someone bleeding to death .. this is f***** insane and brutal he was one of us ... our society our government our political parties agencies are responsible to make him a robber or whatever.

That guy had a Molotov in his hand, NOT INNOCENT but a suspect. So he was being arrested. He did not follow instructions and was grabbing the riffle from security. If you have ever been in security, I have, then you know when at anytime a suspect grabs your weapon you are in danger and you are authorized to protect yourself with deadly force. The mistake was not getting the SUSPECT medical attention after being shot so if tried they should face negligence charges not murder charges.

to all those saying "he shouldnt have grabbed the gun" regardless the weapon should never have been trained on him, he was unarmed regardless.... it's human nature to ensure ones survival and in this case it was for Afsar to try get out of the line of fire, his survival instincts were to grap the barrel and from what i see he's attempting to point the barrel down and away from his body.

Maybe he should not have been trying to grab the guns from security. If he had just laid on the ground, he probably would not have been shot. Anytime you try to touch securities guns, you should not be surprised if you get shot.
